Workshop on Data Sharing & Governance for the Agricultural Data Space

19 September 2025 - 19 September 2025

ONLINE
10:00 - 12:00 AM

Digitalisation is rapidly transforming the agri-food sector, where farms and businesses not only produce large volumes of products but also generate increasing amounts of data. This data becomes valuable when it is shared, combined, and turned into practical applications or advice for farmers, businesses, and consumers. Effective data sharing across the entire supply chain is therefore essential to drive innovation and fully benefit from this data revolution.

Across Europe, initiatives such as ScaleAgData and the Agriculture Data Space are taking steps to address this challenge by developing approaches for agricultural data sharing and governance. Fair access, clear responsibilities, and workable agreements are crucial to create value while maintaining trust among stakeholders.

In this context, ScaleAgData is organizing a workshop. This workshop will bring together stakeholder groups from different domains within the ScaleAgData Research & Innovation Labs to exchange perspectives on governance models for agricultural data sharing.
The focus will be on the organisational and legal dimensions of data spaces. Insights from the AgriDataSpace project will be presented, followed by interactive discussions to support the development of fair, transparent, and practical governance approaches.
