On day 1, in a technical session on 'in-situ technologies', organized by the EC's Research Executive Agency, Isabelle Piccard (VITO Remote Sensing) presented ScaleAgData's aims and ongoing efforts to unlock, integrate, and upscale agricultural data from in-situ sensors. She shared valuable insights into how our Research and Innovation Labs are driving innovation in agricultural monitoring capabilities across Europe, but also highlighted the challenges regarding data sharing.
On day 2, Jeroen Degerickx (VITO Remote Sensing) joined a panel discussion jointly organised by EEA and the EC on empowering Europe's competitiveness through in-situ data. The discussion highlighted both the opportunities and challenges in strengthening Europe's agricultural data ecosystem.
