The GEoAI Camp PRG 2025, held on 27-28 January 2025 in Prague connected geoinformation experts, artificial intelligence experts and interdisciplinary research teams from across Europe.
Among them, dr. Odysseas Sekkas, Head of Technical Project Management at Neuropublic, partner in our RIL Crop Management.
He presented the ScaleAgData project and its aim
- to understand and refine how complex farm-level data streams are governed, organized and managed &
- to develop technologies to scale local farm data into larger regional datasets for agri-environmental monitoring and production management
It was an inspiring presentation on the necessity of crop type classification and how technologies like Machine Learning play a pivotal role in this classification and in the gathering of agri-environmental data for Policy Makers in the context of Common Agricultural Policy.
